It’s been over a month since our amazing adventure in Lapland. My best friend and I had this trip on our bucket list for a long time, and after searching for the perfect getaway, we found Pippin in Lapland. It was a new experience for me. We even saw the Northern Lights three nights in a row right outside the house; it was so cool to see everyone dash outside the moment the alarm went off. All in all, a top-tier vacation!

What an unforgettable five-day trip to Lapland with our family of five!

Snowmobile Safari: We kicked things off with a thrilling snowmobile tour. Racing across a frozen lake at full speed, followed by a peaceful ride through the snow-covered trees... it was pure adrenaline and pure magic all at once. Truly a bucket-list experience.

Snowshoe Hike: The 6 km snowshoe hike was completely different but just as special. Trekking through the winter landscape at a gentle pace, climbing the hill to enjoy the view, and hearing the snow crunch beneath our feet—it felt like a fairytale. A perfect moment to truly take in the beauty of Lapland.

Dog Sledding: Without a doubt, one of the highlights. The energy of the lovely dogs, their excitement as they barked and jumped before take-off, and then the sudden silence as they pulled us smoothly through the landscape—that contrast is magical. We had a beautiful sunny day; cold, but so stunning!

The Grand Finale: A spectacular Northern Lights show on the lake right by Jan and Kim’s house. As my husband was adjusting his camera settings, the sky just opened up. Pillars of light reaching up, left, right, and above us… we were standing under a dome of dancing lights. Icy cold, spectacular, and breathtaking. Seeing the Aurora is such a gift.

The Pippin Touch: What made this trip extra special was the warm hospitality from our hosts, Kim and Jan (and their sweet dogs). They were incredibly caring, kind, and always thinking along with us. The personal attention, the space they gave us, the delicious food, and their genuine involvement made us feel right at home at Pippin. A massive thank you from all five of us!"

Everything we hoped for came true. Our family had been looking forward to this holiday for a long time, and it certainly did not disappoint! The location was amazing, and Jan and Kim truly ensure a hassle-free vacation. You are spoiled with delicious snacks and meals, and they make sure you are in exactly the right place for every excursion. They really do take care of everything for you. Our holiday was unforgettable, topped off by two nights of Northern Lights.
