Welcome to Lapland

Dream trip to the beautiful Lapland. Can you see yourself riding a snowmobile over the beautiful snowy landscape on your way to the ice hotel? How about riding through the white forests with a dog sled? Our house is located 15 minutes from the center of Kiruna in the middle of the forest and close to the Alttajärvi lake

Day 1

Arrival in Kiruna. We will pick you up from the airport, train station or your hotel in Kiruna. The transfer time is negotiable. A warm van will take you to the house in about 15 minutes. Prepare yourself for a winter wonderland with temperatures around -32 degrees and a thick layer of snow. Come inside our warm and cozy cabin, where Kim, Jan and their two border collies will be happy to welcome you.

Here you sleep with 2 to 4 people in a room. We try to make the most suitable layout of the rooms. All groceries are already done and breakfast, lunch and dinner are fully taken care of so that you can relax wonderfully. After you have settled in, we show you the area with the sauna, fire hut and the beautiful frozen lake. The house has good heating and a wood stove. Every evening we go in search of the magical northern lights or admire the beautiful starry sky.

Day 2

Today you will experience an unforgettable snowmobile tour. After a short training and provided with warm clothing, you will ride over frozen lakes and through snowy forests. Enjoy the beautiful winter landscapes and the adrenaline rush that riding a snowmobile gives. After the tour you will go to the Icehotel where we will take you with a warm passenger van.

At the Ice Hotel you enter a world of frozen art. Admire the breathtaking ice sculptures, expertly carved by talented artists. Walk through the icy corridors and admire the glittering crystals. In the Ice Hotel you will have a delicious lunch. There is something for everyone. In the afternoon you will return to our house and you can enjoy the sauna and the fire in the fire hut. In the evening we will go in search of the Northern Lights and enjoy a delicious meal. Kim makes the most delicious dishes, mostly based on Swedish and Lappish cuisine.

Day 3

Today you will strap on your snowshoes and go for a walk through the beautiful Lapland nature. Hear the wonderful crunch of the snow under your feet and discover how easy it is to walk on our high-tech snowshoes.

Along the way you will see many tracks of reindeer, hares and maybe even a wolverine or a lynx. Sometimes you will come face to face with a reindeer or even a moose. We have set out two routes. One easy and one with more challenge. You can decide for yourself on the spot. Nothing is mandatory. After the walk you will return to the house for lunch and you can enjoy the fireplace or the sauna. In the evening Kim has made another delicious dinner.

Day 4

Today you will go on a dog sledding tour through the snowy forests and frozen lakes. A van will take you to the dog kennel. A dog sledding tour in Lapland is magical. The huskies will drag you through the sparkling Arctic snow.

You will receive a short training by the guides and together they will help you prepare the sled dog team for the journey. You are responsible for your dog team, but the experienced guides are ready to help if needed. In this tour, two people share a sled with 5 or 6 Siberian and Alaskan Huskies.

Sometimes we see reindeer and/or elk in the wild. When we get back to the Husky Camp you will reward your sled dogs by giving them a nice big piece of meat. Then you will be treated to a treat with coffee or tea in the cozy and warm fire hut with fireplace.

After the dog sled we drive to the old Sami church from 1604 which we will visit. The Sami are the original inhabitants of Lapland and in the church and in the adjacent Nutti Sami Sida is an open air museum about the ancient culture of the Sami people and you can feed the reindeer. After this Sami experience we drive back to the house where you can relax in the sauna and after dinner we will try to spot the Northern Lights again.

Day 5

Today you say goodbye to the enchanting Lapland. Enjoy a last moment of peace in the sauna or during a relaxing walk through the snowy nature. As you look back on the past days, you will surely think with a smile of the wonderful moments you have experienced. The silence and the untouched nature of Lapland have undoubtedly made a deep impression on you. From the air, during the return journey, you can admire the endless forests and glittering lakes one last time. An experience never to forget. If you want to stay longer, that is also possible. Our house

Our attractive group accommodation with separate bedrooms, living room with wood stove and several shared bathrooms is right next to the Poikkijärvi forest and the Alttajärvi lake. A total of 12 people can stay in this house, but with the privacy of separate bedrooms. For example, we have 2x 4-person and 2x 2-person rooms so that you can always retreat. Kim prepares delicious meals in the open kitchen, which are served buffet style. We can all enjoy together at the large table. our border collies Haggis and Smørrie are everyone's friends and always up for a cuddle. Next to the house are a private sauna, fire hut and the tiny house where team Pippin spends the night.

Day 4
