Day 2

Day 2: Today you will take a snowmobile trip to the famous Ice Hotel and visit it followed by lunch. In the changing room you will receive warm snow shoes, socks, warm winter everywhere, gloves, scarf, helmet and ski goggles so that you are well dressed for the often icy snowy landscape. On a fast-moving snowmobile, temperatures can drop to -60°C. All part of the adventure and included in the price! Before the Snowmobile Tour starts, you will receive a short but important training on driving and safety. All guides are experienced and have Snowmobile qualifications, so you can rest assured you are in safe hands. It gives a huge adrenaline boost to drive over frozen lakes on an advanced Tech Snowmobile. You will first drive slowly around the frozen lake Altajärvi a few times so that you can get used to the power of the snowmobile and feel comfortable driving it. When you're ready, we'll start the real adventure. Together with the guide you will cross the Poikkijärvi forests and drive through the white diamond-covered trees, under fantastic natural snow arches and over beautiful ice-covered swamps and lakes. This snowmobile tour shows Lapland at its most majestic. After crossing the river, you arrive at the world famous Ice Hotel. You will visit this and discover beautiful ice sculptures and beautiful rooms. Then you will have a buffet lunch in the warm part of the Ice Hotel. After lunch you can take a look at everything again and drive the snowmobiles back to the cabin. On your return you will undoubtedly have had a very memorable, authentic and impressive day out in Swedish Lapland. As soon as it gets dark we go outside to see if we can spot the Northern Lights. We will have a delicious meal ready for you around 6:30 PM and then the evening can begin.

Day 3

Day 3: Today you put on your snowshoes and go for a walk through the beautiful Lapland nature. Hear the wonderful crunch of the snow under your feet and discover how easy it is to walk on our high-tech snowshoes. Along the way you will see many tracks of reindeer, hares and perhaps a wolverine or a lynx. Sometimes you come face to face with a reindeer or even a moose. We have plotted two routes. one easy and one with more challenge. You can decide for yourself on the spot. Nothing is necessary. After the walk you come back to the house for lunch and you can enjoy the fireplace or the sauna. In the evening Kim made another delicious dinner.

Day 4

Day 4: Today you will take a dog sled ride through snow-covered forests and frozen lakes. You will be taken to the dog kennel by bus. A dog sled ride in Lapland is magical. The huskies drag you through the sparkling Arctic snow. You will receive a short training from the guides and together they will help you prepare the sled dog team for the road. You are responsible for your dog team, but the experienced guides are on hand to help if needed. In this tour, two people share a sled with 5 or 6 Siberian and Alaskan Huskies. Sometimes we see reindeer and/or elk in the wild. When we get back to the Husky Camp you will reward your sled dogs by giving them a nice big piece of meat. Then you will be treated to a delicacy with coffee or tea in the cozy and warm fire hut with fireplace. After the dog sled we drive to the old Sami church from 1604 that we will visit. The Sami are the original inhabitants of Lapland and in the church and in the adjacent Nutti Sami Sida is an open-air museum about the ancient culture of the Sami people and you can feed the reindeer. After this Sami experience we drive back to the house where you can enjoy the sauna and after dinner we will try to spot the Northern Lights again.
